Steve: Your recent response to a fellow in Canada who wants to build a KW rig caught my eye.
I'm active on 6M EME using JT44, a digital mode. JT44 is somewhat stressful on a linear amp: Full duty cycle for 30 seconds, every other 30 seconds. My 8877 amp will output 2200 watts on CW or SSB, but I must run only 1250 watts on JT44. That's not much power on 6M EME (the MOST difficult band)! I'm not familiar with class "E". Would there be any advantage to using it for 6M JT44 EME? TIA, Barrie, W7ALW
