Bill's post a few minutes ago reminded me that the FCC has assigned a Rule Making number to a petition for bandwidth rules.
A couple of 6 hams filed the petition a while back to limit the bandwidth of SSB transmissions to 2.8 Kc and AM transmissions to 5.8 Kc. If I am not mixed up on the RM number it is RM-10740. You can go to this website and find the document and also look at filed comments. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/ If put into effect, it could impact all us AM operators. 73 Jim de W5JO
