Yep, I meant 833. It was early in the morning when I wrote that. I dont get up before 9 AM usually. I have some 866s also for the power supply. Final 4-125s in parallel. Screen grid modulation. I dont use tubes or circuits because they are efficient, I use them because they look good. Some tubes look better than others. the Eimac 4-xxxx series of tubes looks better than most.
The 833 is awesome in the looks category.

813s look great

Well, I dont think they will do as well as the pair of 4D32s for power, but they would really look great. I am considering a pair of 4-125As modulated by a single 866 for my next project.

errr?

you're gonna modulate a pair of tetrodes with a Mercury Vapor Rectifier?

833? perhaps? and, 1 tube in the modulator? Isn't Class B normally
push-pull (meaning, two tubes)?

Perhaps you meant a single 833 in the final, modulated by a pair of 4-125's.

Now, that would work. and you'd have plenty audio, with a small amount
of drive...

73 = Best Regards,
