My GK 500B has a phenolic tank coil form which looks like it got overheated a few times but is not distorted. I have often thought that a ceramic form would be a better idea. It would be helpful if you would measure the form and see how close it comes to the diameter of the usual phenolic coil form. TNX and 73 Damon, W7MD Tucson, AZ
