Ron, where would you connect the 122? I would assume you would break the connection to the grid of the 1st buffer and feed it through a capacitor into the grid. Agree?

A very popular vfo is the Johnson model 122. Look for one on ebay..Nice stable vfo,would work just fine..Ron W6MAU
