For Sale. All Prices Plus Shipping. Heathkit EK-2 training course with 3 receivers. This was a Heathkit educational course with a companion receiver kit--model EK-2. This is really entry-level stuff. The receiver is a rudimentary AC-powered superhet using miniature tubes with an octal rectifier. It covers 3-16MC in 2 bands with a slide-rule dial. Its a horrible beige and green two-tone with beige and green knobs. I dont think it came with a cabinet but one of these has what I suspect was a homebrew cabinet on it. So what is here, in addition to the course book, is 3 completed receivers in various conditions. The best one is excellent but the speaker grille is missing. The middle one has the speaker grille but one knob is missing. And the worst one is in a grungy cabinet and has 3 wrong knobs and an extra hole in the panel. There is also an external speaker in a thin aluminum slant-front cabinet that I think was supposed to go with this. As-is. $39 for the whole deal.
Military WWII BC-453-B command set receiver. This is the famous Q-fiver covering 190-550KC. This one looks like it has had all the ham mods done to it. But I didnt open it up to see whats inside. Its missing some cabinet screws. The dynamotor connector has been removed, though the dyno mounts are still there. Its a bare aluminum set but the tube cover is black wrinkle. All the tubes are missing. As-is. $12 Thanks for looking. 73, Don Merz, N3RHT ______________________________________________________________ AMRadio mailing list List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Partner Website: http://www.amfone.net Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:[email protected]
