Indeed it was quite a night to be on AM. One of the "Tall Ships" that I heard on the air in celebration of AM in the Northeast was Bruce W2XR on Long Island. 1200 lbs of homebrew AM/broadcast quality! I worked him on and off on 3830, from about 6 PM until 3:30 AM. I wasn't a bit intimidated to get on the air with my "Light Weight" DX-100 & HQ-160! Heard a lot of west coasters from about 1-2 AM... Lots of Fun!
