Indeed is was a great evening in celebration of AM! One of the "Tall
Ships" I heard for the first time here in the Northeast was Bruce,
W2XR, 1200 lbs of home brew broadcast quality AM. I worked him on and
off from 6 PM until 3:30 AM in the area of 3.825. I wasn't the least
bit intimidated to get on the air with my "Light Weight" DX-100 and
HQ-160.
I heard a number of west coasters on 75 from about 1-2 AM.

There was another call.. a 'new(er)' ham, up in Arkansas.. KD5TUZ.
he was running a good sounding Johnson 500.
