I started work as an announcer at age 15 at a local 250 watt broadcast station.

The main reason at the time to get a ham ticket was to be able to run more power than the local station.

I enjoyed signing off as the strongest station in town...hi

I have been on AM since 1951....built a lot of gear in the last 56 years...and at age 72, I am not even thinking about quiting.

When you can have a career building and maintaining broadcast stations....it just doesn't get any better.

Thanks for the memories,

73,
Bob, W4WSZ
