It could be the Guard. The C-124s were used into the 70's by the Guard. Also the KC-135s had the ART-13/BC-348 in the early days.
During my time in the UASF (1952 to 1958) all multiengine reciprocated aircraft that flew over water had the ART-13/BC-348 combo. I got the privilege to fly in KB-29s as a crewmember. I got to ride in C-124s, C-119s, and C-123s for punishment!
