Hi Bob

It's on 99.5 KPLX - 67 Khz sub-carrier and used for remote foldback for the
cluster of 1310 KTCK, 570 KLIF, and 93.3, and 99.5. I just had to re-cap the
encoder. If we had to do any more than that we'd be SOL. Because of proprietary
reasons SCA Data would not release documentation back in the day, but there was
the provision that they would if the company ever "went under". However last
month when we requested that that they do so, the only thing whoever is still
left in the office sent was basically worthless.

Bill How interesting...I was the VP Sales and Marketing for SCA DATA systems
in Santa Monica. It was mine and Larry Karrs idea to develop that product...
It went along with the 57 KHz system for CUE Paging and the EBS system that
was developed with Jerry  ??? and Joel Bump. Off course Jerry died...
Small world...What station in Dallas is still using it??? PBS ???

I know that this is a up and down modulation (AM) forum so pardon me for
mentioning the side to side modulation format (FM), but we have on station
down here in Dallas that we're using a SCA Data Systems encoder on that puts
4 separate channels into one sub carrier. We only use it for foldback to
remotes, and now that SCA Data Systems has moved on to other persuits I have
no idea what will happen when the thing crashes one to many times since they
will not provide us with any service data.

Now even the SCA has gone away. I have one dealer that still uses SCA in Mo.
