My automated CQ'er uses Sony MiniDisc. It works MUCH better than tape. I
use an audible 1000~ tone for control. The control tone runs on left
channel and the audio runs on right channel. Works FB, since my AM signal
is monaural, only one channel needed, and the channel separation with the
minidisc system seems absolute, with no detectible cross-talk.
