How could GM (and others) make those dangerous cars, why when you open the hood, those giant fan blades and rotating pulleys are totally exposed!!
While I concur with the idea that a child could raise the lid of an unprotected table top radio and be harmed or worse, dismantling Big radios, even with interlocks, should only be done by experienced technicians.
