I had to install it 7-8 times before it took on one computer. Keep trying.

I am downloading the VCP software successfully. (Win XP, 2.93 Ghz processor, 1.5 Gn RAM) I click on the CDM release info Word Document, and the Windows Installer box pops up "preparing to install". I then get a Word error message "the command cannot be performed because a dialogue box is open.Click ok, then close open dialogue boxes to to continue". But no dialogue boxes are open! If I move the cursor to the Wiindows Installer box's "cancel", the cursor changes to an hourglass. If I click "ok" in the Word Error box, all the windows close and I am taken back to the folder where the unzipped FTDI download files reside. Any ideas?
