I didn't see it as a criticism, more a misunderstanding that I could help correct. SO-35 operated in FM, Mode U/V and was a real joy to work. I could work it horizon to horizon with a DR-605 dual band mobile and a 1/4 wave whip horizon to horizon, all in 5 khz steps. It was my only entertainment for a very long winter spent babysitting a drill crew in the upper midwest. Our cube probably won't have the downlink strength SO-35 did, but that doesn't change how the uplink will work. I wouldn't sweat it too much, the same gear you use for V/U will be fine for U/V FM satellites. 73, Drew _______________________________________________ Sent via [email protected].
