Thanks David ! My vertical did not pick up AO51 at all, so the experiment could not be done here. Using my beams all was fine of course.
Funny, I knew this stacked vertical dual band only picks up signals at low elevation (<10 degrees), at many cubesats (70cm) and ISS (2 mtrs). But I never experienced only very noisy signals like this morning from AO51. Nothing wrong with AO51, maybe with my vertical. Anyway - was a good trigger to be on AO51 again, made 1 QSO and listened to many other European stations making contacts.
