I have been deeply hurt by the death of John. I know him for a very long
time and I highly respected him. We had so many good and fruitful
discussions about telemetry and analysis of data. As Andy said, with his
good contacts to the Russians he was a very important person for us. He
built a bridge between the russian radio amateurs and our communities. And
he built a bridge between young people who are interested in amateur radio.
May he rest in peace.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to his family.

Farewell John.

Betreff: [amsat-bb] John Heath G7HIA, SK

All,

this is very hard to write, but his family has just told me that my good
friend John Heath, G7HIA succumbed to cancer and passed away last night.
They asked me to tell his amateur radio friends here and I know that
amsat-uk have also been told.

I'l leave it to others to complete his obituary, but I will always remember
his passion for satellites and the cosmos, his patience in explaining and
teaching others, his companionship and friendship, and our various contacts
particularly with Russia.
