yeah,but people are used to amsn not being compiled and most users install with the tarball (because they know they don't need a .deb or .rpm), taken from : http://amsn.sourceforge.net/modules.php?name=Surveys&op=results&pollID=6
and if you look at :
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10894&package_id=10452&release_id=375153
you'll see that even tcl/tk uses the "src" namings...
I don't know what are the namings people want, so let's wait for everyone's input (the list seems dead now that the hard work seems to be done...)
same question goes for other files like ... "-debian.deb"
