setting that variable (unless you mistyped it) WILL make you use the reflector, because :
1- it won't open a server
2- won't connect to the client
conclusion : no direct connection is made, so reflector is tried after a 30second delay...

but, the reflector giving us a timeout is normal if it's down... or if it's used a lot... we've set the timeout to 3seconds right ? wasn't it enough you think ? :o

I had this conversation with Karel on IRC:

12:43 < scapor> [11:53:29] Unable to connect to the reflector.. can't read
                "state(status)": no such variable canceling
12:43 < scapor> Tjikkun: any idea ? Reflector sevrer dopwn ?
12:44 <+vivia> scapor: many people lately are complaining that sending webcam
won't work, so reflector server might be down
12:46 < scapor> I hope it's down and not blocking amsn users ;)
12:46 <+vivia> scapor: hmmmmmm they all say that it works with M$N ...?
12:46 < scapor> as in fact they have reason to do so .. the server is not
hosted by MS but they get adds in MSN7.x for it .. we don't
                have those adds
12:46 < scapor> so we don't deserve to use the sevrer in fact :s

Then I tested webcam with him but it wouldn't even try the reflector :(
though I had set ::test_webcam_reflector 1 . Has anyone tried recently?
