Very good job Tom

First, the look and feel of the window is very good, I say that because most of the time when we add features in aMSN the gui totally sucks :P

Hehe thanks.

haha, totally true! that's why he's the "UI Designer".. most new feats have crappy gui because we have no idea how to design it.. but hat has this skill flowing through his veins :)

I didn't know but your search feature is working in the history too, GOOD (Someone asked me that lately)

yep :) seems it can be done easily know.. right ? something like ::searchdialog::bindwindow $w and that's it :) you just need to give it a text widget and the window to bind.. is that true Tom? wait, let me check... hehe, that's what I though, look at how he added support for it in the log window :
! # Add search dialog
! searchdialog $wname.search -searchin $wname.blueframe.log.txt -title [trans find]
! $wname.search hide
! $wname.search bindwindow $wname

that's it! that's all in the diff! That's what I call modular code! easy to do and easy to understand :) so now, we can request a searchdialog in protocol log, status log, blablabla.. in amsn :D lol

I also love the fact that the search is "live", like firefox, you type and automatically the text is selected without pushing "Find" button. (I don't understand the checkbox "Find as you type, check it or not, it's the same thing)

Lol, thats not supposed to happen! I'll fix that, but have "find as you type" enabled by default, as lots of people like it :)

wouhou, man I'll love this feat, I didn't think you would do something like that.. you had the idea, you did it and you r0x0rs :D lol

I will probably modify some bindings on Mac but it's just a small detail, that's my job ;-)

Yeah, I had no idea what "standard" bindings for this kinda thing were on mac, so i just made them same as linux.

who cares about Mac???? ohh yeah.. Jerome does.. oh well, he's the mac maintainer, so he'll do the port :) that's what I usually think when coding :) (sorry J ;))

better just wrote "better") word though :).

So, to conclude, "I like the way you do that right therrrr" :D.

I'm feeling that love man... (H)
Btw, is the search dialog okay for everyone? No bugs/problems/ features missing?

not tested yet.. will do when I get home.. but tested it with the initial commit and it was great! no bugs found at that moment + I already told you the feats that were lacking.. great job... and euhh.. guys.. stop sharing your love publicly :P

should be "add search for chat window, and log files" all we need

is a

window with the entry, search button, search direction

radiobuttons,

ignore case checkbox, etc... then all the rest is done with the

"$text

search" function...
look at tk's demos, they have a really nice code for searching!

Okay, I've written a find dialog widget and added bindings/ menu

entries

to chatwindows to open it....as you can see from the commit, it

needs

three new lang keys:
find
findnext
findprev

Someone was speaking of searching. When you make a

search-feature in

contactlist, could you maybe also make one in the log- window?

If it's

not too hard. That's something I've been waiting for. So

bothering to

open terminal+vim just to search, anyway, the log-files look

crap in

vim as well...

Thanks :-)

I'll add it to my TODO :)
