if we discard it, it's for a reason, do you want us to add a new patch to our 
code to handle the 
x-keepaliveamsn, you're doing the same thing that kopete does but we have to 
handle it because it can get 
annoying, that's all, it's a requested feature afaik, and we only close the SB 
after some timeout, to avoid 
having hundreds of opened SBs with activity for no reason at all.

if you close the window, amsn will send the BYE signal to the other user (but 
the SB *could* still be open, 
there just won't be any other user in it (you can then invite another user in 
it later on instead of requesting 
a new SB ip adress from the NS)
as I said, in amsn it should send the BYE signal, in WLM, it *might* not, even 
if you close the chat window...
