I (NWM) did tell you why I don't like it :P it's not "atomic"; I would rather prefer an event to receive only a nick at once, than having to cycle over an array; it's more clean from the point of view of the code; not to mention that this would allow you to parse and then *immidiately* display a contact entry as it's ready, instead of waiting for the array to be completely parsed by all of the plugins and *then* draw the contact group.
