2007/5/1, Youness Alaoui <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

ok, it's good! but a few things, just like Karel said, the right click
menu is not a good idea, BUT the right click menu
ONLY when the buttonbar is shown and the right click menu only ON the
buttonbar to allow to hide it is good I think.
Actually, it should be instead some kind of little arrow to
collapse/expand (like the one for the DP) but it would make
it so big and ugly that it's better not to. So my opinion, just like
Karel's is to have the option in the 'view' menu of
the chat window, it's better. I don't know what Karel would think but I
think that having a right click menu only on the
buttonbar when it is shown is a good idea (although a menu to remove
buttonbar but no menu (at the same spot) to put it
back is weird).

As I said (but maybe not clear enough): what I see that could (should) be
done is a "[ ] Hide buttonbar" option (checkbox) in the "View" menu, and if
you right-click somewhere on the buttonbar, you get an option "Hide
buttonbar" (same wordings as in the "View" menu, you see ?). There should
not be a "show buttonbar" option if you right-click the input field or
whatever as it doesn't make sense; if you have a menu when right-clicking
the input field, it should present the user options about that input-field
and not about a widget that isn't there anymore.
You can see this same behaviour for example in some other software packages
with a bar on top with buttons. they have a right-click menu where you can
disable the bar but you re-enable 'm by going to the View-menu.

ciao,

Karel.
