yes, you ARE late in saying this, ubitux worked a long time on these and posted
them progressively and you had
time to give the comments... Then once finished, we had all the time to give
him comments on all of them before
he finalized them.
If you mean "the whole style is wrong", then sorry, I don't think you are going
anywhere with this. everyone
LOVES the smiley set, I'm totally in love with it, my friends who use amsn
think it's really great! so.. there's
noway we change to something else now (and ubitux won't have time to redo them).
If you're saying that smiley X and smiley Y has this or that defect, then I
think it's ok, because we still got
time to fix that.
About this "squint-eyed" thing, I have no idea what it means, so I wikipedia-ed
it :
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/squint
so, it has 3 meanings :
1 - To look with the eyes partly closed, as in bright sunlight
2 - To look or glance sideways
3 - To look with, or have eyes that are turned in different directions; to
suffer from strabismus
humm.. which one did you mean ? and which smileys are affected by this ? I
looked at :) and :D they look ok,
they don't look like they are partly closed, they don't glance sideway, and
they don't look in different
directions (they do seem like they look a liiiitle bit to the inside, but it's
not as much as for the :s smiley,
which you say is ok)... so I'm completely lost!
Can you give us the list of which ones you don't like, for what reasons, and
how it should be fixed, that would
help ubitux a lot, I'm sure.
Finally, about the buttons in the skin, you're right, they are different from
the skin, but I don't think it
causes any problem, anyways, we were going to separate the smiley set from the
skin, right ? so it doesn't make
any difference. We *could* put a smiley from the set into the smileys and winks
buttons of the buttonbar, but I
don't think it would make much of a difference.

p.s.: I just found what I think is a bug. when we click on the smileys button,
it shows the smileys menu, but
with an offset from our mouse cursor (to make sure the mouse is inside the
smiley menu so when we move the mouse
outside it disappears.
But for some reason, it seems to always show it at the same place now, it's
with an offset but not from the
mouse cursor but it's from the center of the button it seems.. just try it,
whether you click on the top or on
the bottom of the smileys button, the menu appears at the same coordinates...
