Hi, If the tabs always have the same width (which is *preferable* for the user experience) you better just use 1 pixmap (I see no reason for using 3 then).
To why it's preferable for the user experience: having the same width for all tabs will never suprise the user. If a tab get's closed, the places of the close button and where the nickname starts etc will stay the same although another tab has taken the place of the former.
