although not a c whiz by any stretch, I created a visual c++ project and
included all the source and header files. I cut the analog.c code out and
put it into analog.cpp. otherwise you have two source files competing to
make the analog.exe. I ran into a few more problems that went beyond my time
budget for now.
I wanted to find where the referring URL was parsed from the log file string
and stretch it to include all of the referrer information. That way I could
have set the floor for the referrer info to 1 and got a line for each
referral complete with se keywords. I would have used this for my "last 24
hours" report.
maybe a command line -i.e. non "visual" c compiler would be a better bet. I
will keep trying as time permits and post any results. Any freeware
compilers for the win platform out there?
if anyone has had any luck with keyword parsing, please let me know.
Thanks all. Good list.

Subject: [analog-help] changing the source code, HOW?
Hi,
I want to start changing the source code, for now it's only the HTML output
to supply the company's layout, but later maybe also some logging functions.
Could someone who has experience with this describe me how to get started
opening the source files. I have some experience in programming C++, but my
first problem is how to open Analog in Visual C++? Or could I better use
Borland C++ builder (for DOS or Windows)?
My second problem is, how do I compile it all to one analog.exe file, and do
I need other libraries?
Greetings, Bart Wehrens
