There's three tricks about getting scheduling to work under NT:

1. When using WinAT the scheduled jobs seem to run much more reliably if
you check the 'interactive' box. The command line does not seem to suffer
from this problem.

2. The scheduler server needs to be started. MS in their infinite wisdom
ships NT with it installed but turned off.

3. If you are accessing files over a network connection you need to have
the scheduler service log in as a user with authority to do so. By default
scheduler starts in the security context of the local system account. In
the services control panel select scheduler and click the 'startup' button.
There is an option to change who the service logs in as.

Other than that, it works quite well. I, too, use a batch file to make life
easier. Note that you will have to specify the full path and full path to a
config file in your batch file -- when scheduler starts the job you will
not be in the analog directory. An alternative is to have the first few
lines of the batch file change to the proper directory ie:
D:
cd D:\APPS\ANALOG
ANALOG.EXE +gdaily.cfg +Fxxxxx +Txxxxxx +OD:\inetpub\wwwroot\stats\

etc....

Hope that helps. Steve-
