1. Easiest thing would be to make "nobody" a member of the www group.
Since the files are group www readable, you'd be set.
2. Write a C or perl wrapper script that runs setgid www and have that
script call analog. Problem solved, and as long as you don't do anything
totally silly like call analog with a non full path, or allow unprocessed
command line arguments to be passed, you should be fine.
If you can't do one of those, then changing your log file perms is the
only way I can think of offhand to do what you want.
