Mike,
Your hosts are showing on multiple lines because you are using the 
HOSTOUTPUTALIAS command rather than the HOSTALIAS command. 
HOSTOUTPUTALIAS simply changes the text that is displayed for the host, 
while HOSTALIAS will group the IP numbers together like you are wanting 
to do.
