Just got my first site logs and ran them through Analog 3.3 (Mac). I've
got a pretty good idea of what the reports are, but let me see if I'm
correct:
* Request Report - these are the files that were requested by a
browser/spider/etc?
* Failure Report - these are the files that were requested, but for one
reason or another the request could not be fulfilled?
* Referrer Report - these are the pages that the user was viewing when
s/he clicked a link to my site? What if the user typed in the URL -- will
the page that they were on also be listed as the referrer? What if they
started from a blank page?
* Referring Site Report - this is the root level of the pages in the
Referrer Report?
* Failed Referrer Report - these are the pages on my site that have links
that generated failures?
The bigger question is: how do you webmasters use these statistics?
