That * should be a %j.
That will make it work. But there is one other thing. You should have
have just http://pc-stiserver:80%r at the end (or even just %r), not
http://pc-stiserver:80/%r. This makes the filename begin with a slash. For
example, as you have it at the moment, the file in your second example will
get a blank %r, which will be discarded.
