I am using IIS and "LOGFORMAT (%S, %u, %d.%m.%y, %h:%n:%j, W3SVC%j, %j, %v,
%j, %j, %b, %c, %j, %j, %r, %j,)" works for me. You have to set "%d.%m.%y,
%h:%n:%j" because it is the german format.

Betreff: [analog-help] which logformat to use with IIS v4?

Can you kindly share your experience with me?

I am running Analog v 3.32 on NT.

Analog doesn't seem to be able to read any MS IIS v4 webserver logs
regardless of the LOGFORMAT specified in analog.cfg and the logging format
used in MS IIS v4.

If I set the MS IIS v4 server to W3C Extended and the LOGFORMAT to W3C in
analog.cfg, we get the "try a different LOGFORMAT" error mssg.

If I set the MS IIS v4 server to log using the MS IIS format and the
LOGFORMAT to MICROSOFT-NA in analog.cfg, we get the "try a different
LOGFORMAT" error mssg.

If I set the MS IIS v4 server to NCSA Common and don't set LOGFORMAT in
analog.cfg, I get an empty report.

We need to get the correct LOGFORMAT to create reports from MS IIS v4 web
server logs.

As you already know, MS IIS v4 can produces webserver logs is a variety of
formats:

1. W3C Extended
2. MS IIS
3. NCSA Common

What is the best combination of server setting and Analog.cfg settings to
produce a report from MS IISv4 webserver logfiles? Please advise. Thank you.
