I would also point out that there are probably people like me, who are
not all that experienced with installing Unix programs, but are NOW
coming to Analog because it is Y2K compliant while many other free log
analysis programs are not. I had tried to install Analog unsuccessfully
on my system almost 2 years ago, and simply gave up, content to rely on
Getstats, which was preinstalled + supported by the techs on my host
server. I found out only about 10 days ago that Getstats will die at
midnight Dec 31st, and the ISP people were relatively unconcerned --
they knew nothing about Analog & could offer no support whatsoever for
installation.
Anyway, thanks for this mailing list - it has gotten me over the hump.
I am encouraging my ISP to provide Analog to all its customers.
