Greetings.
I compiled Analog 4.01 on my LinuxPPC (1999Q3 release[1])
box. However, if I have Analog set to produce any useful output, it
seg faults. Running with 'ALL OFF' and 'DEBUG ON' produces the
expected output to console, without a seg fault. 'ALL OFF' plus
'SUMMARY ON' produces the report file with summary header, but
enabling any other report options (I think I tried them all) results
in the seg fault.
With output set to stdout and MONTHLY ON enabled, this is the tail end
of the file produced:
<h2><a NAME="Rep0">Monthly Report</a></h2>
<p>(<b>Go To</b>: <a HREF="#Top">Top</a>: <a HREF="#Rep8">General Summary</a>: Monthly
Report)
<p>
Each unit (<img src="images/barb1.gif" alt="+">) represents 1
request for a page.
<pre><tt> month: reqs: pages:
--------: ----: -----:
Segmentation fault
This appears to be the same problem reported in November, in the
thread that starts at
<URL:http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02884.html>.
I am posting this because I did not see a resolution to this problem
in the list archives.
I should also add that the LinuxPPC RPM file on the Analog web site
does work when installed, but I would like to use the version I have
compiled, as I don't care for where the RPM installs files. I am not
sure why the RPM version works but the version I have built from
sources does not.
I can attempt to get debugging info if someone is willing to walk me
through the necessary steps.
Thanks for any help,
john.
Footnotes:
[1] Basically a RedHat 6 equivalent distribution, for the PowerPC.
