See the PNG page you mentioned before. Version 4.x browsers have limited
support for PNG. MS claims IE 4.x doesn't support it, but it will work.
Netscape 4.5 when interfacing to IIS will display broken images instead of
PNGs. Finally, non of the current browsers support any of the advanced PNG
features.
Analog is designed to work with HTML 2.x compatible browsers.
I'm am not a lawyer, but I think, from a political standpoint, that Unisys is
unlikely to really start trying to sue websites hosting images from
non-commercial GIF generator software. It would be very hard for them to prove
whether or not the GIFs on your site were generated with commercial or
non-commercial software and I think they would be more effective to go after
the source of the GIFs (that is Stephen, before you).
If you are really worried, you could change the source and recompile.
