thanks to you I have very good stats on this. I have almost no hits on
those old browsers since mid '98. So I don't care if those few Net
challenged individuals can't read the pages. Besides, those reading the
output of Analog have the most current versions.
Netscape shows them plenty good for me too. Take a look at:
<http://www.cdrom.com/pub/png/pngpic2.html> with your browser. This looks
really cool. If your program used .png files for the few things needed they
would be fine. Especially on a white background.
I can run gif2png and convert all the .gifs and modify the final output
html from analog with web2png and they look fine to me.
I am thinking of editing the source for analog to use png but most
certainly will botch that up not knowing enough to keep it from being a
major project.
Maybe someone will come up with a png plugin for browsers so they work as
well as they do in flash with graphics produced by Macro Media's Fireworks.
That is really nice and they are fast too.
Am I swaying your thinking at all?
