I have read over the FAQ several times but I'm not finding the answer to why
requests that were excluded, such as graphic requests, are counted in the
Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports. Can give me some more detail?

They're for different time periods, assuming you are not using a TO command.
For example, if you were to run a report now, 2000/01/12:1532, the last
seven days in the General Summary would be from 2000/01/05:1533. But the
last seven days mentioned in the Daily Summary would be 2000/01/06-12, i.e.
only starting at midnight on the 5th, not 1533 on the 5th.
