Thank you Stephen T., Aengus L. and Andy K. for your help. I'm close but
not quite there yet. I opened the analog.cfg file in Notepad and wrote in
LOGFILE www.nordicgourmet.com-old_access_log.1999Dec.gz
"old_access_log.1999Dec.gz" is the name of the file I downloaded from the
server into the C:\Program Files\Analog Site Analysis\analog
4.01\old_access_log.1999Dec.gz.
I am not running this program on the host server itself, but from my local
machine. Am I still supposed to out the "www.nordicgourmet.com" after
LOGFILE?
This is the same folder I unzipped all the program files into. Are the
program and log files to be analyzed supposed to be in one directory?
Then I double click the icon and a DOS window flashes + disappears. Opening
the Report.html yields Successful requests: 0 and Running time: Less than
1 second.
So I click anglform.html and change some of the options under #1 and click
Produce Statistics. Nothing happens.
I have inserted the data for LOGFILE, OUTFILE, HOSTNAME, HOSTURL,
UNCOMPRESS, the 32 different reports ON settings in the analog.cfg file.
Everything as it is requested in the Examples\Big file.
Ack! What am I doing wrong? In which file am I supposed to be able to see
the statistics? The output file: nordicgourmet.html shows empty. Thanks so
much in advance for your patience!
