No, but in Perl you can use the syntax (1..20) to create a list of elements whose
values are 1 through 20. This works in Perl, but not in Perl regexps. As Michael
said, Regexps know nothing about numbers, just characters (except maybe in the sense
of \d or [:numeric:]).

I know, but it helps me remember what it's matching when I go back to look at it six
months later.
