well, it's looking more and more like operator headspace error... that's 
the one thing I've always disliked about macs - the manuals don't tell 
you enough, like "save the pram settings before you replace the battery". 
(smacking self in forehead - what's the battery for?!) my computer now 
thinks it's 10 days old and has been used for 28 hours. (anybody know a 
way to tweak that?!)

in the meantime, I bet if I tell analog to look at dates from 15 april 
on, instead of 12 march, it won't have the constant re-read problem... in 
the meantime, I'm trying find out what the apparently underlying clock 
problem is and how to fix it...
