Hi everyone... I've been trying to figure out a way to set analog up so that it will list requests made by specific hosts, and it seems that there's no way to do this (I read through the FAQ, and it seems to me that B18 answers this question). I understand the design motivation behind it, but I would imagine that there are a number of cases where this information would be very useful, and worth the extra time and resources that analog would have to spend parsing. Given that, has anyone written an extension to analog that would allow this? I'm thinking that one neat way to do this would be to generate another set of files (one for each host? one file with HTML bookmark tags?) that would link from the main analog output file, so you could jump to the individual requests that come from each IP. Of course, it could be subject to the standard analog args, so you could prevent it from generating insane amounts of info. Anyway...just thought someone might have already done this. If not, is there interest in something like this? Bryan Sivak PS I'm new to the mailing list, so forgive me if this has already been discussed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the analog-help mailing list.
