Stop everybody! I'm going to be idiot #2. No fussing, I said it first.

goal: generate fixed time report *independent of date* and *independent of
time* (feeding Analog a series of file in turn)

assumption: I have one file = one day, otherwise analog should generate
multiple reports, which it cannot do. (hm, it might as well add things up,
as is done for DAILY vs. FULLDAILY i.e. it's just considering a fixed
24-hour period, while I'd like to, say, sum up hours 10:00 to 10:30 across
my logfile(s) )

tried:

   FROM :0900
   TO :1000

does not recognise a valid parameter.

hm. Now, apart from sintax details, DAILY is just something like:
FROM :0000 TO :2359
which *also* alternates among seven prefixed values called Monday, Tuesday,
etc. ...

Actually what I ask is simpler, an HOURLY of QUARTER or FIVE which picks a
single (set of adjacent) hours, quarter, fives ... indipendent of the date
it finds in the log (if the log spans more than one day, just add things
up) and from launch time.

(Am I making any sense?)

Cheers,
W
