I have a site that gets lots of referrals from another site which uses a
JServSessionId parameter in the query as a cookie workaround. The problem with
this is that it naturally really clutters up my Referrer report.
So I'm (attempting to) use REFALIAS to remove the offending query portion while
keeping the portions that I'm interested in. An example:
http://www.sourcexchange.com/ProjectDetail?projectID=7&JServSessionId=3fd0bd6abec5ff06.7297.963268777882.A1
(Obviously, I want to keep the projectID portion and subcategorize.)
The REFALIAS:
REFALIAS *sourcexchange*&JServSessionId=* $1sourcexchange$2
And... it doesn't touch it. I tried adding the question mark, thinking maybe
the REFALIAS handles request and query separately or something. (Voodoo
solution.) I've tried including or not including the ampersand.
I suppose I can use a regexp, but darn it, I shouldn't have to!
Thoughts?
Michael
