I am relatively new to using Analog and would like some help
please.
We have 2 domains (csct.ltd.uk and counsellingtraining.com) that
we use to pull visitors to our Web site. They both point to the
same IP address. We want to be able to track traffic to the site
and distinguish between those coming to the 2 domains. We also
want them to appear in the same report so that the amalgamation
of page visits within the site are taken into account.
I have tried getting this to work by looking in the virtdoms.cfg
file in the examples directory but I can't get it to work. I have
not been able to find any help in the FAQs either.
Two typical lines in the log files are:
mailhost.csct.ltd.uk - - [25/Jul/2000:11:04:30 +0100] "GET
/acatalog/Books-Grey.GIF HTTP/1.0" 200 667
"http://www.csct.ltd.uk/acatalog/index.html" "Mozilla/4.0
(compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)"
and:
btstts12c23.nbnet.nb.ca - - [25/Jul/2000:23:36:07 +0100] "GET
/flash.html HTTP/1.1" 200 1103
"http://www.counsellingtraining.com/" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible;
MSIE 4.01; Windows 98; Compaq)"
I have created a LOGFORMAT and LOGFILE command below:
LOGFORMAT (%S - - [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j %j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b
"%f" "%B")
LOGFILE 2000*.log
but cannot get the report to show the domain names in the results
file. Any help would be appreciated please.
