Actually, I don't provide a Makefile for Windows -- maybe I should but I
haven't figured out how to make one (no pun intended). Come to think of it,
I'll put it on the "help wanted" list.

Anyway, using the MSVC++ GUI, you do have to include the wsock32 library.
This should fix it, I think, although I'm a few thousand miles away from my
machine with MSVC++ on at the moment.
