Gentlemen,
First, kudos on a great effort, I've used it for a few months, have read
and reread the help, worked out a lot of original issues on my servers
logging. What has me stumped however is why --
LOGO mypic.gif
fails to put a custom logo up on the report.
mypic.gif I have tried residing in images (the same dir as where the
barb*.gif files are) and i have tried specifying it in the .cfg as
LOGO images/mypic.gif
No matter what I do, I always get a broken image logo.
Here's the strange part:
If I rename analogo.gif to something else, and rename my logo to
analogo.gif (and put LOGO analogo.gif back to original in analog.cfg, and
rerun the log, and drain cache reload page...) it *also* is a broken
image!
Before delving which I am happy to do if needed, is there something
obvious I have missed that you can see? I have not recompiled since
original build, which analog-4.11 .tar.gz .. this effect is platform
independent as I support linux and solaris, it's the same for both.
I've read the docs, from there I have the impression all one needs to do
is change LOGO in analog.cfg and make avail a .gif file. Tried .jpg
as well. The images I'm using are not huge, in the 8K range, but
I note that your analogo.gif is 557 bytes big, considerably smaller.
And, yes, your logo works ;) But mine do not, no matter what I do, and it
is very perplexing indeed. My logo gifs result in a broken image
with apache; yours proudly display the analogo.gif . Great
brand placement :) But isn't it allowable to put an organizational
logo instead ? It would be possible to hack the code, which I'll do
eventually but wanted to see my idiocy in lights before resorting to real
work...
Thanks for the effort to put this out, you both (Jeremy and Stephen, and
perhaps others I've missed) are doing a yeoman service in a world
cluttered up with over-leveraged and under supported crap, I would happily
contribute to a beta test for future upgrades, or recommend your logger to
organizations I work for. I'd also probably contribute to a charity beer
fund if you have one ;)
