Well it is not totally ignoring this because it is responding correctly
to the HOST directive and also SETTINGS ON directive... checked
there is only one set of DNS entries and there is...

I first tried through anlgform.html interface I removed from
@forbidden(...) in anlgform.pl the DNS switch but still the SETTINGS
switch is forbidden and still works through anlgform.html !!!
Secondly I ran /usr/bin/analog and it build dnscache correctly but it
did not output in Domain/Organisation/Host report saying to stderr:
----------
/usr/bin/analog: analog version 4.16/Unix
/usr/bin/analog: Warning L: Large number of corrupt lines in logfile
/etc/analog/analog.cfg: try different LOGFORMAT
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)
Current logfile format:
#Fields:<W3 extended format string>\n
#%j\n
/usr/bin/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Host Report
/usr/bin/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Domain Report
/usr/bin/analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Organisation Report
--------
However when running via anlgfrm.html I get output like:
---------------------------------
reqs: %bytes: organisation
----: ------: ------------
8092: 100%: [unresolved numerical addresses]
...
reqs: %bytes: host
----: ------: ----
113: 2.26%: 62.7.249.4
3248: 29.58%: 62.30.112.1
------------------------------------------
so here it is not using dnscache but all the hourly/daily summaries
are output correctly and meaningfully. So presumably the log file is
ok.
I complied in the log file path via anlghead.h and have not over-
ridden anywhere else. Checked this with SETTINGS ON and it is
pointing to the expected location. Examined the access_log and it
looks OK default apache log settings...
Hmmm...
