Two things occured to me. first is the possibility that Analog is limiting
analyzed logfile lines to ones in the last x hours or days. (I know there
is a command to do so with from and to, and I'm sure I read about it in the
FAQ.
Second, your site may rotate the logs and possibly delete them after a
certain period of time, thus at regular intervals the total hit count goes
down.

Subject: [analog-help] Transfer Data Numbers Decrease as Log Files are
Applied
As I run Apache logs through Analog 5.02 on a Redhat 6.2 Linux box,
sometimes the
figures in the Data Transfered part of the General Summary report decrease
instead of
increasing like they should when more data gets applied. Has anyone else
experienced
this problem? Does anyone have any ideas as to a possible cause/solution
for this
problem?
Thanks.
Brian
