WARPED is just a subdirectory of /~warped. sorry about any confusion, but
someone decided to have most of the pages in a subdirectory of public_html
called WARPED. so WARPED accessed via ~warped would be a request for
/~warped/WARPED/ and via the vhost as just /WARPED/
However, after checking the logs there's actually no VHOST data being
written to the logs at all.
E.g. requests for www.warped.man.ac.uk/NONEXISTANT2
webcache1.liv.ac.uk - - [19/Oct/2001:09:08:18 +0100] "GET /NONEXISTANT2
HTTP/1.0" 404 328 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0;
DIL0001015)"
and for www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/NONEXISTANT2
webcache1.liv.ac.uk - - [19/Oct/2001:09:08:24 +0100] "GET /NONEXISTANT2
HTTP/1.0" 404 2006 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0;
DIL0001015)"
Sorry for the pointles request in the end.
