I installed Analog in my Program files and it
works well with the sample logfile. When running my own server logs I get
"Succesful Requests = 0" but there's lots of actual requests in the file
and I know there is traffic to the site. Does this mean I need a LOGFORMAT
line? Haven't found out what actually that line would say if I did create it.
The sample shows a line like this:
LOGFORMAT (%j %M %d %h:%n:%j %Y %t %S %b %r %j %j o %j %u ftp %j %j) How do I know out what my logformat line should look like? I am not running the logs on the server but at my machine here, and the sample works well. I am using the same filename for my own log as the sample and the HTML output shows up the only change I made to the config file (I changed "organization header") so it runs without obvious errors. If anyone knows of online resources to what the actual lines of the log files mean that would be helpful, there seems to be a fair number of requests for root access also - hackers/worms? Here's a few lines from my logs if that helps: 208.51.1.102 - - [01/Oct/2001:05:55:01 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.0" "-" 200 5232 208.51.1.102 - - [01/Oct/2001:06:08:06 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.0" "-" 200 5232 208.51.1.102 - - [01/Oct/2001:06:22:37 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.0" "-" 200 5232 216.30.42.69 - - [01/Oct/2001:06:37:13 -0500] "GET /scripts/root.exe?/c+dir HTTP/1.0" "-" 404 297 208.51.1.102 - - [06/Oct/2001:05:53:08 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.0" "-" 200 5705 216.231.174.244 - - [06/Oct/2001:10:17:54 -0500] "GET /scripts/..%255c../winnt/system32/cmd.exe?/c+dir HTTP/1.0" "-" 404 319 MG Web Services
